DOM Sicherheitstechnik
Founded in 1936, DOM Sicherheitstechnik GmbH [[&]] Co. KG belongs to the worldwide leading providers of lock technology and electronic access systems. In the last few years there was a large shift in the market for safety technology away from mechanical systems to electronic products. In order to remain successful it was important to communicate the very positive and competent image of the DOM brand in this new segment.
The job that public affairs had to do was to bring about an image change by communicating the change from “the inventor of the turnkey” to “access control made by DOM” and to firmly cement this in the consciousness of the target group.
The focus of the pro-active agenda setting, in addition to the general media and the industry trade papers, was especially set on the trade papers for the various DOM customer segments such as, for example, health care and the financial sector. Success stories and interviews with experts were the major tools used in this media work. The PR activities were accompanied by an attention-grabbing ad campaign and POS activities at dedicated retail outlets, which included flyers and brochures.
Through the work of public affairs, DOM
Sicherheitstechnik is on the agenda of the journalists. The company
is positioned as a security expert and as an innovative market leader in all
areas of access control. The image values of tradition, innovation and “made by
DOM” are being effectively communicated.
