Fashion for Life
Working in cooperation with the New York fashion label Donna Karan, the Cologne fashion boutique Apropos supports the AIDS foundation “Lebenshaus”. Public Affairs organised an attention-getting charity event: the very up-market benefit gala “Fashion for Life”.
Celebrities such as Iris Berben, Esther Schweins and Katja Riemann are invited to take part and serve as amateur models showing Donna Karan’s current collection. The highlight of this unusual show comes when a designer dress, which was worn by Demi Moore at the Oscars, is auctioned off. The revenue from the ticket sales, the auction and the other donations all go to the Cologne Lebenshaus Foundation.
The event raises more than 50.000 euros for the foundation. The glossy magazines and the daily papers give the event a lot of coverage. In addition, Fashion for Life is also presented on TV on the Harald Schmidt Show, in Sam and in Veronas Welt.
