Köttgen Hörakustik

Köttgen Hörakustik is a traditional Cologne company that has represented perfection in hearing-instrument systems and hearing protection since 1951. Today, there are some 150 employees working in more than 50 branches throughout the greater Cologne/Bonn area. In addition to classic consultations, Köttgen Hörakustik – a company that takes on trainees – also provides information on the topics of hearing protection and childcare.

public affairs is launching a communication offensive placing particular emphasis on the social consequences of impaired hearing. The motto for this initiative is: ‘Hearing means belonging’ (‘Hören heißt dazugehören’). The main target groups are the primarily older users of hearing devices and their family members. The aim is to position Köttgen Hörakustik as a relevant and trustworthy first point of contact in the event of hearing problems.

public affairs also executes creative agenda-setting on topics such as training and trade-fair presentations of new products. public affairs also has the young target group in mind on the company's behalf: media support for innovative projects such as the distribution of free hearing protection to students during renovation work at the University of Cologne, or the installation of a ‘noise police station’ in the inner city of Cologne on ‘International Noise Awareness Day’, generate broad attention in regional media.
