Loveparade
With over 1.6 million participants, the Love Parade is the largest party in the world. After taking place in Essen in 2007, the second Love Parade in the series Love Parade Metropole Ruhr 2007-2011 took place on 19 July, 2008 on the Bundesstraße 1 in Dortmund. On the Love Weekend, the hippest DJs from around the world present the multifaceted world of electronic music.
As the official press office, public affairs accompanies the preparations for the Love Parade with targeted PR and serves as the point of contact for the media.
Public affairs prepares the media for the mega-event with a series of press conferences. On the actual day of the parade, the media team looks after 900 certified journalists from 22 different countries. Co-operative media agreements, sweepstakes and regular press releases ensure continuous reporting on the event and create an enormous interest in the world's largest outdoor dance event. As a result the Love Parade in Dortmund broke all Love Parade attendance records as 1.6 million people danced peacefully with one another and came together to have one of the biggest parties in the world.
